New Conversion Table Available

Smalley Steel Ring Company has just added a new Conversion Table tool to its website. This new feature, designed to facilitate unit of measurement conversions for engineers, is available at www.smalley.com under the Engineering Tools area on the site. The conversion tables allow visitors to the site to convert units in the categories of Angular Measurements, Electromagnetics, Mass & Weight and Pressure & Density to name a few. The tool is easy to use and provides instant results.

Also featured in the Engineering Tools area of the site are the popular Design Custom Ring and Design Custom Spring features. Both of these tools allow engineers to design Smalley parts using their own specific design parameters. The unique design tool is an easy 4-step process that then allows Smalley engineers to work with these design requests to provide the exact part needed for an application. The tool is free of charge as is the design consultation that may follow if requested.

Smalley Steel Ring Company manufactures spiral retaining rings and wave springs. Spiral rings are interchangeable with snap rings and require no special tooling for removal. Wave springs reduce heights by 50%, with equal force and deflection as standard coil springs. Parts are available from stock in dimensions from 1/4”- 16”, in both carbon/stainless steel. Special designs are available from .200”- 90” using Smalley’s No-Tooling-Charge™ process.
