As The Engineer’s Choice™ for Wave Springs and Spirolox® Retaining Rings we have the answer! Smalley’s newly expanded manufacturing capabilities now allow us to design and manufacture Smalley Wave Springs and Spirolox Retaining Rings down to 0.165”, 4 mm diameters!

Spirolox^® Retaining Rings

Spirolox Retaining Rings have No Ears to Interfere™ with mating components in an application and are compatible with snap ring grooves. Spirolox retaining rings are functional and aesthetically pleasing. They have no gap or lugs allowing for tight radial applications, ID/OD locks, and a clean installation. Over 6,000 standard retaining rings are available from stock in both 302 and 316 stainless steel in sizes from ¼" to 16". Customs can be manufactured in sizes from .165" to 120".

Smalley Wave Springs reduce operating height by up to 50% with the same force and deflection as coil springs allowing them to fit in small applications other springs cannot. Wave Springs are manufactured to predictably satisfy precise operating conditions. This makes them ideal for tight radial and axial spaces found in many medical applications.

Over 4,000 standard springs are available from stock in carbon and stainless steel in diameters from ¼" to 16". Custom parts can be designed with No-Tooling-Charges™ in sizes from .165" to 120".
